Recreation and travel have a unique ability to bring people together, but it is in the preparation that things come to fruition. During a pursuit countless lessons are created through lived experience, enriching not only the lives of the participants also those who are just passing by.

MidwayCollaborative seeks to understand how the natural and human interact to create meaningful spaces and experiences. M. Anton Johnson is an architect and designer based in Washington, DC. For him, sketching is a way of processing and refining the most intriguing qualities of travel.
